Built to Spill, and Yo La Tengo are two very unique bands that can actually both prove the same two points. First point being you do not need a massive stage production to keep an audience engaged, enthralled, and on their feet for the entirety of a show.
Founded in 1977 as an American counterpart to Italy’s Spoleto Festival dei Due Mondi, Spoleto USA quickly became a premier performing arts festival in a fairly unlikely location, showcasing a potent blend of opera, theater, dance, jazz, chamber music, and more.
One of the best feelings is seeing a bill that’s so good it feels like it was designed as an irresistible trap, or perhaps just because the festival organizers stole your dream journal.
