The Stranglers (or a Strangler) performed at Auckland’s Town Hall last night. The 13th Floor’s Simon Coffey and Leonie Moreland were on the scene!
The Stranglers have had some weird and wonderful support bands join them throughout the years but possibly the best of those were signed up for the 2022 Dark Matters Tour. Ruts DC have headlined many tours, but they have a long history with the band, so they were the perfect choice
The Stranglers performed at Auckland Town Hall last night, where the British punk-rock legends delivered a near-perfect set to the crowd, packed with playfully acerbic wit and a selection of fan-favourite tunes.
There was quite a buzz in the; Christchurch Town Hall; as this is the first destination that; UK-based punk rock band; The Stranglers; are playing in New Zealand.
Its the last of 12 shows in 12 days and The Ruts are razor-sharp, winning over the audience in one song. West One (Shine On Me) shines out as a high point and sounds glorious in the cavernous Huxleys.
You can't deny that the punk community in Leeds are currently getting their fill of the classics with these boards being graced by Belfast legends Stiff Little Fingers a few weeks ago followed by the return of The Stranglers who were only here at this very stage just over twelve months ago.
