Bio
Pledging to never play a venue with a stage, singer/guitarist John Reis formed San Diego's Rocket from the Crypt in the summer of 1990 after becoming disillusioned with the hardcore punk band he was in called Pitchfork.

On the coldest day for years with conditions which looked better from out of the train window, we needed a fire to congregate around.
A couple of years ago the blistering Hot Snakes show at All Tomorrow’s Parties was a much-needed shot of adrenaline, and maybe that prodded John Reis into planning last year’s US-based festivals and European shows.
The band disbanded in 2005, reunited for a television performance on Yo Gabba! Gabba! in 2011, then hit the road on a European tour in 2013 and are now rockin' North America in 2014.
