Horn O'Plenty Harmony: Railroad Earth's Annual Thanksgiving Tradition and Bluegrass Extravaganza at the Sherman Theater
Why does Railroad Earth feel like a Colorado band? Is it the style of music they play that suits a large majority of the musical culture in the Rocky Mountain state?
Railroad Earth has always taken a humble approach to being a band. Beyond their impressive light show – practically a necessity for a band in the “jamgrass” scene – the New Jersey group has a no-frills approach to performing, opting to let their musicality and songs speak for themselves over any flashy production.
Railroad Earth visited some familiar territory last week for a three-show run that started in Lake Tahoe and concluded with a pair of nights at the UC Theater in Berkeley, CA.
Jersey boys and americana heroes Railroad Earth returned to Denver for their annual multi-night winter run, and this year found them back at the Ogden Theatre. Twice a year these pioneers of the bluegrass and folk music genres visit Colorado.
