At last night’s gig at Mercury Lounge the Montreal foursome brought their long flowing hair heavy beards and power axes along for a wild 30 minute set.

Priestess from Montreal Canada were set to light up a darkened Underworld being they’re first european tour the place was packed with expectation even though Priestess were the support for tonight it felt like the awaiting hopes were for Priestess.

But last Thursday, for the first time, I crossed the street and ventured into the Plaza Club, pleased to discover that the old Plaza movie theatre has been transformed into a kick-ass live-music venue.

Well it sure turned out that way as the slanty brick room gender-split like a junior high dance hall.
