Kodaline softens the Electric Picnic Main Stage with emotional set
The performance rounded out gradually, with moments of musical euphoria complemented by quieter ballads. For this crowd, who had been lulled into Kodalines introspective world over the last hour or so, an encore was not up for debate.
Adorned in black with bright ruby-red shoes, and despite this being his first European tour; American solo artist, Patrick Martin, received a tremendous round of applause from the sardine-packed, yet ecstatic, Roundhouse.
Returning from the land down under, Kodaline are back home on Dublin's North-side. It seems they brought the Australian good weather with them, for what proved to be a superb opening night at St.
With the stage covered in moody blue and yellow lighting, the crowd that was packing into The Triffid roared with excitement as Kodaline took to the stage for their first Australian tour since 2014.
