Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he grew up absorbing a diverse spread of music and art-The Drums, Funeral Suits, Common and Teen Suicide are credited as some of his greatest influences. His catalog is intimate, thoughtful, and self-labeled 'new wave nostalgia.'
