Catfish and the Bottlemen are a British rock band, formed in Llandudno, Wales in 2007. Their debut album, The Balcony, reached number 10 in the UK Albums Chart and achieved Platinum status on 30 December 2016.

But as ever, they brought it back – this time with Conversation, another song from the same album. Paired with Overlap, McCann and the rest of the band seemed to have regained their composure.
Almost seven years to the day since they played at the now defunct Empire in front of 100 or so people, indie heroes Catfish and the Bottlemens triumphant return to Leeds finds them on a far more grandeur stage.
It may well be Guy Fawkes Day or Bonfire Night as it is sometimes known, but tonight the hot ticket in Newcastle is not the many firework displays taking place in the region, but rather the return of Brit indie rockers Catfish and the Bottlemen.
I have to admit that having seen Catfish play twice before (at the Institute and then the Academy in 2015 in between the first and second albums), I kind of stopped taking notice; not deliberately just by accident.
