ZZ Ward (Zsuzsanna Ward) is an American singer, musician and songwriter born in Pennsylvania and raised in Oregon, USA, in a small town called Roseburg. In 2009 she was signed to the Boardwalk Entertainment Group, and in 2011 signed to Hollywood Records.
ZZ Ward brought her Stardust tour to the historic Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, California on Feb 28. The show was sold out and to my surprise it was a predominantly middle-aged crowd, though there were quite a few 30-something females in the crowd as well.
Last week, blues-rock singer ZZ Ward delivered an electrifying performance at Irving Plaza in New York City. The minimal stage production during the show gave ZZ Ward the opportunity to truly shine and show her powerful voice off to the audience.
