The six-piece initially started as a punk rock band in 1989, but have since developed their sound into ambient and electronic.
With a wide array of genres etched in their catalog, The Notwist dabbled in everything from dark rock/metal to jazz-electro, and more recently digging deep into an indie-electronic sound with their 2014 album Close to the Glass.
