After discovering The Libertines' debut album 'Up The Bracket' last year and becoming obsessed with their raw energy and thoughtful songwriting, I was excited to see they were coming to Melbourne this year.
It's been two decades since Jon McClure stood on a stage in Australia, performing the songs of his long-serving indie-rock vehicle Reverend & The Makers.
The Libertines have sailed choppy waters in past times but with last year’s excellent number 1 album ‘All Quiet on the Eastern Esplanade’ and a sold-out tour recent times have seen relative calmness in the Libertines camp.
