Richter has been the place to be for punk rock concerts lately. Many classic bands have visited the Copenhagen suburb in the past few years, and tonight's is Strung Out's turn. They are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their seminal 2004 record
Anticipation for the band built as the minutes turned to hours, and in typical Velvet style, the band didn’t take the stage until just before the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Hard because while a ton of bands they've inspired have come and gone or parlayed that inspiration into mainstream mall-punk commercial success these SoCal thrashers are still keeping it real and putting many younger bands to shame.
What can only be described as the perfect venue for Strung Out’s personality, Hell Hole pays homage to all things Skate Punk, from mounted skateboard decks, to plenty of the good stuff in Emu Export and PBR’s, as well as a purpose built Bowl.
