On this very day six years ago, Rita Ora cancelled her Brisbane show at The Tivoli scheduled for the next day due to a throat illness. And for what has been an excruciating wait in-between shows has seen the UK singer-songwriter turn into one of the biggest names in current pop culture.
I can remember sitting in Maths class when I was sixteen and receiving a text from my dad saying Rita Ora's Radioactive concert that night was cancelled due to illness. I was devastated. After six years of waiting, I was not disappointed as she graced the Big Top at Sydney's Luna Park as part of her Phoenix World Tour.
