garage rock behemoths Osees played Hotel Vegas residency
Over the last nearly 30 years, John Dwyer’s long-running psych project Osees (formerly Thee Oh Sees or The OCs, as well as a half dozen other permutations) seems to have dialed in a musical formula that whips people into a frenzy.
It's been a couple of years since San Francisco's Osees have been in the UK, and it's way too long, we need an annual dose at least! The band, led by the prolific guitarist and vocalist John Dwyer have released 28 albums in just over 20 years and are not looking like slowing down, in any sense of that phrase
Perchance! In this scribe’s (13th Floor Reviewer – Simon Coffey) opinion, tonight’s show at The Hollywood in Avondale, by lauded California entity Osees may have achieved ‘Gig-o-the Year’ status, whilst we are barely 14% into 2025.
