On the 25th of May, 200 people of all ages and types of styles went for one of the smallest locations in Kiel to see KADAVAR and their support, SPLINTER. The small location "Die Pumpe"´ offers the opportunity to see a band play without a stage ditch and to get within arm’s length of the musicians.
Having been impressing crowds since its birth in 2012, Desertfest has mapped itself as a focal event in the stoner rock scene. With various hefty line ups in the pocket and now in its eighth edition, the festival returned to boast arguably the most intriguing and varied lineup yet.
For all the darker, more restless sound of their latest album, Rough Times, tonight’s tone still feels celebratory, new songs like Skeleton Blues greeted rapturously by a busy, mixed crowd.
