Despite some space limitations, GWAR, along with Soulfly and King Parrot, put on quite the show at the House of Blues in San Diego.
As I showed the security guard my photo pass, he gave me and my camera a concerned look: “You’ve done a Gwar show before, right?” It was asked not because of the quality of the performance, but because I wasn’t wearing a rain slicker.
Anyone who's ever survived a GWAR show knows you don't rock up in civvies. You rock up prepared for fluids of unknown origin and questionable legality.
