Ferocious Dog; yeah, they’re all well and good strolling through the game in packed venues and all fancy flicks as they wow crowds at festivals all across the UK and Europe, but one question remains: “Can they do it on a chilly Spring evening in York with a full orchestra?” The answer is a resounding “YES!”
Ferocious Dog arrived at O2 Academy Leeds with a larger than usual cast of characters. The usual six-piece folk-punk outfit played two sets, the first with a six-piece orchestral section and additional backing vocalist.
It's been a long time; we all know that. A hard time for many in so many ways. A shaft of light, however brief, can make such a difference and Ferocious Dog certainly provide that.
Attending a gig, you may always expect the band to deliver their best, but Ferocious Dog went well beyond that when they played at Nell's on Thursday night, a venue usually known for Jazz and Blues performances.
