Some things feel eternal, even if they aren’t. Portland’s Doug Fir Lounge is one of those things — despite only being around since 2004, the intimate, swanky, immaculate-sounding, subterranean den feels like it has the near-universal respect of a venue three times its age.
I'll be honest, this review has taken a while to write. On the one hand, our snapper Paul wasnt due to see the band until nearly a week later in London so whatever I wrote would have to sit on the back burner.
