America's Local Band, Cheekface, performed at the sold-out Cat's Cradle Back Room on Easter Sunday, which also happened to fall on 4/20. While there were a few college students wearing bunny ears at the show, there were probably even more who were celebrating 4/20 earlier that evening.
Cheekface only plays one kind of song, but that song is pretty damn good. Good enough, in fact, that despite being a Monday night (one coming off of 4/20 weekend, at that, almost definitely a busy weekend for many Cheekface fans), Northeast Portland’s famed Mississippi Studios was sold out and packed
Cheekface may brand themselves as “America’s local band” but there is no shortage of interest on this side of the Atlantic, as hundreds pack into a sold-out Stereo
