Mull Historical Society released classic debut album Loss over 15 years ago.
A South West London musician, whose childhood soundtrack of Timbaland, Prince, and UKG - formed the basis for the melting pot sound that lit up Studio A for Clash Live.
The diminutive songstress with the huge voice (and the cute dimples) even gives out sweets at her gigs and has a meet and greet at the end of her performance.
Starting set opener "Nobody's fault but mine" in solo mode Beth's voice soared to the back of the Roundhouse quietening the masses turning them into a very attentive crowd.
Like the rest of the black eyeliner-wielding brigade it is from Motown that Rowley draws inspiration; what sets her apart from her similarly big-lunged contemporaries is not just her Shirley Temple curls but also an old-fashioned sweetness.
