Beats Antique makes sound a visual entity. They fill a room with it until there’s no room for air and all you can do is hope the pores of your skin learn to breathe in pulsing rhythms of movement and electrified musical warfare.
It was one of those nights where you find yourself surrounded by everyone you know, each familiar face beaming, reflecting the joy burning within right back your way like the reflection in a funhouse mirror.
Double percussion setups provided ample swell under grimy synths and wobbly dub pulling the crowd in and introducing Pemberton to the entire spectacle.
Beats Antique took to Kickstarter last year to raise money, not for their planned album, A Thousand Faces, but to create a world class show to tour their new album.
Whether you yourself were the connoisseur of - ahh hemmm - psychedelic enhancements, shall we say? Or you had that one friend who was insistent on having your 'mind blown' by the myriad of lights, lasers, and smoke.
