Andrè Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra had everyone dancing in the aisles of the 3 Arena during the first of two sold-out concerts in Dublin on Thursday May 9th. Rieu returned to Ireland this week as part of his 2024 World Tour with a wonderful performance in front of a packed out crowd in the Irish capital.
Going to an André Rieu concert is like going to a party. And what a party it was, with this sold out crowd at the Arena on Wednesday night not needing nibbles and drinks, instead they gorged themselves on an incredible display of music and fun.
As a first time at an Andre Rieu concert, I didn’t know quite what to expect. Would it be fun, would it be inaccessible (classical music isn’t usually my thing)? Well, I couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised…
