Bio
Alessandro Cortini is an Italian electronic musician. Cortini has created remarkable, brooding work out of nothing. He creates a rich and dreamlike sonic universe of surprisingly emotional sound scapes and textures. Cortini is known for touring as the keyboardist for Nine Inch Nails from 2004 to 2008 and again from 2013.

Ah, that’s more like it, dark and stormy on the way to a gig but still, up there on the rise the ACCA glows warm and welcoming. The arts centre on the Sussex Uni campus has become quite the destination in recent years for those leftfield punters who seek out the experimental and electronic, curious and challenging.

Some of the crowd would have been familiar with his work as a touring member of Nine Inch Nails while others were perhaps better acquainted with his more recent solo albums on Hospital Productions and Important Records.

With Sarah Davachi and Richard Smith finishing up their set around the same time as the Canucks playoff game this set the table for one of the most awkward sets imaginable.
