Alcest is a French blackgaze band formed in Bagnols Sur Ceze, Languedoc-Roussillon in 2000 by multi-instrumentalist Neige (Amesoeurs, Mortifera, Lantlos, Peste Noire and more).
Before DEAFHEAVEN, there was ALCEST. Pioneers of the ‘blackgaze’ movement (which is the hybrid of black metal and shoegaze, for the uninitiated), the French band have been producing sweeping soundscapes for post-metal enjoyers to immerse themselves in for over two decades.
Tonight is a special night. It’s Halloween weekend in London and the legendary goth metal act CRADLE OF FILTH are wrapping up their hugely successful Dark Horses and Forces European Tour with their Monstrous Sabbat show.
