Fans made sure to grab tickets nice and early as this event was sold out to the cheers of many happy fresh faces.
Volcano Choir's second-ever Canadian show started off a little slow, opening with only an organ drone, care of keyboardist Thomas Wincek. Recreating sonic puzzles like Unmap and Repave in a live setting is no small feat, but effortlessly enhancing those soundscapes and creating a visual world for the sound to live and breathe is an astonishing accomplishment.
The seven piece, led by a very relaxed witty Justin Vernon (of Bon Iver fame), successfully blended contrasting musical elements for an unforgettable concert at the Fonda Theatre.
