It has been a very difficult time and a very different journey for Tom Meighan since he was sacked two and half years ago as the front man of the hugely successful band, Kasabian. And on Thursday night he took to the Rock City stage on the first leg of his solo career.
Before Tom appears we have two opening bands, both telling the crowd, “We’re here to warm you up for Tom” Whether he be called Tom, or anyone else, I have never heard a support band, let alone two, stating their job so bluntly. A strange positioning for opening act bands to adopt.
