A black silhouette danced against the red-lit back wall of the Brisbane Powerhouse. The spotlight flashed, revealing the silhouette to be The Veils' frontman Finn Andrews.
The Veils performed to an enthusiastic crowd at Powerstation last night to celebrate the release of their new album, …And Out Of The Void Came Love, featuring spectacular support by Australian folk singer, Grace Cummings.
Emerging on stage through the dark lights at the beautiful Islington Assembly Hall, the group are quick to assemble themselves, while lead singer Finn Andrews thanks the crowd, showing his gratitude early on.
After a long absence from playing Vancouver, London band The Veils returned in support of their new album Total Depravity and delivered a blistering set at Fortune Sound Club.
Led by Finn Andrews, the son of Shriekback frontman Barry Andrews, the New Zealand-by-way-of-London band has always been known for their intensity, and this album makes no exception, never letting up over the course of its 47 minutes.
