On a night where Manchester is jam packed full of people celebrating the Chinese new year, the main hub of entertainment is at the wonderful venue at The Deaf Institute, Manchester, UK
After years of living in Ireland and reviewing many a gig in venues big and small around Dublin, you can imagine my delight when a little piece of Dublin made it over to Vancouver to play the Rickshaw just a week after St. Paddy’s Day.
Just as the sun set on day 2 of Electric Picnic, the Rankin’s Wood tent began teeming with a particularly rowdy crowd. Word clearly spread – The Scratch had touched down.
As their introduction said The Scratch were just ‘go go go' from the moment they took the stage, immediately hyping up the crowd . 2 years of anticipation exploded from the crowd screaming back the lyrics of songs such as ‘God Slap' and ‘Fooling No One'.
