Critic Consensus
Based on 11 concert reviews, the critic consensus is that The Legendary Pink Dots is rated as a decent live performer, but their shows lack distinction. The Legendary Pink Dots concert reviews describe live shows and performances as psychedelic.
The Legendary Pink Dots are a Netherlands-based band formed in August 1980 in the UK who, although distinctly underground, have been musically influential over the years. The band name was derived from pink dots of nail varnish on the piano in their squat, where founding members Edward and April lived.

In 2016 alone they’ve released a new studio album, Pages of Aquarius, a double-disc release in their long-running Chemical Playschool series of soundscapes (this one numbered 19 & 20), and several recordings.
The personality fits, since the Dots have called Amsterdam, the European hub of libertarian attitudes (as well as a solidly positive drug culture) home since 1984.
Billed as “An Evening With the Legendary Pink Dots,” and thankfully dispensing with an opening act (really, who can keep up), this is not a spurious greatest hits museum piece.
Nearly thirty years into its career, the Legendary Pink Dots are still among the most unique and evolving bands to have come out of art and psychedelic rock movements of the '60s and '70s.
