Sparks are an American rock and pop music band formed in Los Angeles in 1970 by brothers Ron Mael (keyboards) and Russell Mael (vocals), initially under the name Halfnelson.
Sparks had their biggest hometown show ever at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles this past Sunday night. The triumphant finale of their 2023 world tour found the Mael brothers on the same stage as the show that had first kindled their passion for pop music.
