Seu Jorge (born June 8, 1970) (Portuguese: IPA: ) is a Brazilian musician, singer, songwriter and actor. Born Jorge Mario da Silva, he was raised in a favela in the city of Belford Roxo in the Baixada Fluminense region of Rio de Janeiro state.

Seu Jorge Floors Pantages Theater with Genre Bending Music
The event was preluded by an introduction from a member of the Brazilian crew; the night was to be a performance by two artists, one here in the flesh, one here in spirit.
A movie that is so ingrained in pop culture you at least see one person (or a team) dressing up as Bill Murray’s Zissou and their gang wearing powder blue jumpsuits and red toques.
I found myself humming it in the shower, while packing my lunch, as I walked to my car, standing in line outside the Pageant in a light drizzle -- any time my mind had the space to relax a bit, the song revealed itself.
Jorge's David Bowie covers in that film stood out then — not least because they were in Portuguese — but have only gained haunting power over the years.
After more than a decade since its release, Seu Jorge set sail to bring back his much-acclaimed 2005 soundtrack to the Wes Anderson film The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou to adoring fans.
