The summer of 2023 concert scene has been an interesting and eclectic mix of artists and genres. Amongst those currently touring is a really cool quadruple bill of performers whose heady days were mostly during the 1980s.
It’s been 41 years since Rick Springfield released his iconic platinum certified album, Working Class Dog. In a slightly belated celebration of its 40th anniversary, Springfield has hit the road on the SiriusXM 80’s Tour of The Year with Co-headliners Men At Work and special guest John Waite.
Wednesday’s tour stop at Meijer Gardens with a hefty assist from the Grand Rapids Symphony proved Rick Springfield still has rock-star power as he rolled out his cavalcade of hits.
