Perhaps due to their previous encounter with Celtic music culture via their attendance at The Shetland Island Folk Festival in 2015 Lindsay Lou & the Flatbellys approached their first Celtic Connections with some fervour.
With chairs arranged in rows, making the room feel a little bit like a school assembly, the sole focus of the audience is with Bangor based singer songwriter Stephen Macartney from the offset.
