Eagles Of Death Metal rocked Auckland’s Powerstation last night. The 13th Floor’s Simon Coffey and Brenna Jo Gotje were there to cover this momentous event.
On an ice-cold winter's night in Melbourne (25 July), the Forum was set ablaze with the scorching howl of none other than the legendary Eagles Of Death Metal.
These dates are going out under the banner “24th Anniversary Tour”, but the band didn't form until 1998! They neither play death metal, or sound like the Eagles, which in a strange way, is allegedly how they actually came to be named as they are.
None of that seemed to dampen the crowds enthusiasm, and they fauned and cheered as the band emerged to ‘We Are Family', with Jesse – sporting a green suit and Ghostbusters t-shirt, dancing around meeting the expectant audience.
