Cerys Matthews MBE (born Cerys Elizabeth Matthews on 11 April 1969 in Cardiff) is a Welsh singer, songwriter, author, and broadcaster. She was a founding member of Welsh rock band Catatonia and a leading figure in the "Cool Cymru" movement of the late 1990s.

What did I know then? Eleven years on from the official breakup of Catatonia and five after her unexpected I'm a Celebrity appearance Matthews certainly knows a lot more about the blues.
Wearing a soldier’s tunic, she alternated between acoustic guitar, harmonica and xylophone, accompanied by a duo later expanded to quintet, with a mix of material from latest, Don’t Look Down, catalogue cuts, and traditional tunes.
Her bouncy energetic stage presence endears the crowd to her further and she breezes through a set which airs material from forthcoming album 'Never Said Goodbye' as well as highlights from 2003's Americana tinged album 'Cockahoop'.
