The Liverpool guitar outfit return, mixing tracks from new album Love Is The Call with Britpop classics

And in no time at all there are fists pumped aplenty and sweat dripping down the walls of The Globe with 300-plus devotees crammed within.

On Sunday night the faithful flocked down Oxford Road to see the Liverpool foursome to see whether the resurrection was real or not.

However, frontman John Powers’ vocal ability puts the previous band to shame, as do the songs themselves, which are of a high quality and sound as good as they did two decades ago. The only similarity between the two acts is their drummers: both are full of energy and really go for it on stage.
