Boozers, preps, yuppies and youth alike waiting around the standing space anticipating Tanlines in their first return to Dallas since July last year.
Given the surprisingly low ticket sales, the El Rey Theatre may have been a better choice, but the floor at The Fonda left us a little more room to twirl and bop.
Eric Emm and Jesse Cohen brought a rock-heavy four piece setup to Neumos on Tuesday night bringing both the new album Highlights and their instant classic 2012 LP debut Mixed Emotions to vibrant new life.
The effort's lighthearted blend of synth-pop tunes filled the demand for summer anthems; this year the duo returned with Highlights which added more Balearic and Caribbean-toned pop structures to their breezy sound.
Fast forward to the sweltering Vancouver summer of 2015, and the overgrown crowd tonight at The Electric Owl showed a sincere thirst for the second coming of these indie-electro fan favourites.
