As 4 o'clock on Day 2 of LouFest neared, and maybe the live-music fatigue was setting in, Robert Randolph and His Family Band delivered a jolt of joyous funk soul.

On one end of the boardwalk, Southside Johnny & Friends filled the Paramount Theatre in Convention Hall, even hosting a special guest appearance by our fair state’s unofficial superhero, Bruce Springsteen.
