Formed in 2009 in Reading, USA, RIVERS OF NIHIL – which can be can be defined as the continuation of a neutral flow of retaining emptiness; humble, egoless…— took shape after Jake Dieffenbach, Ron Nelson, and Jon Kunz got together to create a band to push the boundaries of death metal.
The temperature may be plummeting, the nights may be getting colder and the impending recession may be casting a shadow across the nation but if there is light to be found in the darkness let it be this, the first November for two years where we’ve been blessed with bands (both homegrown talent and from overseas)
As one of the more niche festivals within heavy music, there is a special affection for ArcTanGent. Curating an expansive bill that spans the breadth and depth of forward-thinking music within our world, the August weekender at Fernhill Farm is just as much a festival as it is a community of like-minded individuals.
