Overkill is an American thrash metal band formed in 1980 in New Jersey. The band has been active since 1984, releasing 16 studio albums, 2 EPs, 2 live albums and a "covers" album.
I showed up around 7:15, about midway through opener Mothership’s half hour set. Since they’re a stoner metal band, that basically means I got to see two songs.
A lot of metalheads out there always refer to the ‘Big Four’ when they think of the kings of thrash – Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax, with other acts like Kreator, Exodus and Testament having their name thrown around a lot too.
