Recorded in Memphis, the album makes it obvious that he has soaked up more than a little of that towns legacy of horn-inflected rock and soul.
In addition to guitar and harmonica, he impressed the audience on piano, an instrument I’d never heard him play before; some of his warm-up and ending noodleings were extremely accomplished.
Who of us has been in a band? How do they operate from the inside? Do most bands operate similarly or differently? Oddly enough the former is probably more true than the latter.
