Joe "Satch" Satriani (born on July 15, 1956, in Westbury, New York and brought up in Carle Place, New York, USA) is an instrumental rock guitarist and teacher, and a recognized virtuoso of the rock guitar. Guitarists Alex Skolnick, Larry LaLonde, Steve Vai, Charlie Hunter and Kirk Hammett were among his students.
As far as understatements go, his is right up there with We’re going to need a bigger boat; for the next three hours, three of the world’s leading guitarists each play their own set before teaming up for an epic jam session.
Joe Satriani loves playing Hammersmith, it's clear for all to see and he reminds us of that fact several times during the show as this isn't the first time he has brought 2 great guitarists out to play in London on his G3 road trips.
