Bio
Helmet are a rock band formed in New York City in 1989 by founding members Page Hamilton (guitar/vocals), Henry Bogdan (bass), Peter Mengede (guitar) and John Stanier (drums). They are known for their frequent use of drop d tuning.
Helmet finally made it back to Aotearoa/New Zealand on a tour postponed from 2019 by you know what, to present an evening of thinking person’s heavy music aka hardcore, punk and metal.
Originally New Zealand was meant to be on the cards for 2020 until a certain pandemic got in the way so Helmet's 30th Anniversary Tour had to be canned.
Inside Page Hamilton and Company’s monstrous guitar assault on The Warehouse at Fairfield Theatre Company, as the band prove to be as powerful as they were 30 years ago.
