Legendary hip-hop group, Deltron 3030, brought the celebration to Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom, with Kid Koala, Dan the Automator, and Del the Funky Homosapien.
Deltron 3030 are an experimental hip-hop group consisting of rapper Del the Funky Homosapien Dan the Automator Nakamura (producer of the Gorillaz debut album) and Ninja Tune’s DJ extraordinaire Kid Koala.
Koala armed with only his turntables and nothing else opened up the evening digging back into the crates for "Drunk Trumpet" a classic from his first album.
The band is a trio at its heart, composed of uber-producer Dan “The Automator” Nakamura, Canadian deck wizard Kid Koala and Del The Funky Homosapien, who tonight would be going by his alter ego of futuristic freedom fighter Deltron Zero.
