The Guinness Storehouse Summer programme ‘Lovely Day For a Visit’ recently announced headline performances by Kelis and BICEP this summer, with the latter DJ duo serving up a thrilling set last night.
Fans eagerly waited nearly two years for Bicep's galvanising live shows, and it was well worth it. The heady mix of anticipation, nostalgia and ecstasy was enough to light up the night at Brixton Academy, and it is no wonder all three consecutive London nights sold out in minutes.
Then came covid, which – amongst everything else – threatened to overshadow the release of their follow-up album Isles and the touring and festival plans hatched to promote it.
