“Playing Melbourne shows used to be every week for us.”
You may be familiar with some of their hit singles such as Lights & Music, Hearts on Fire, and their newest single, Standing In The Middle Of The Field.
Having been to Stubb’s BBQ for close to 100 different live music shows, I can confidently say that this past Friday was the most intense and invested I have ever seen a crowd.
In October, the Australian dance act was playing a late afternoon set at ACL Fest when their sound was cut off mid-way through their set-closing biggest hit, “Lights and Music,” as part of a festival-wide Tom Petty tribute.
The gathering crowd were largely indifferent to ‘Phil from Cut of Your Hands’ DJ mash up set, and were dribbing and drabbing in, even as Cut Copy bounced their way into opening number, Need you Know.
